Doosan Series Repair
Doosan Puma Way Covers
Puma horizontal-turning covers use telescoping steel across the lineup — Puma 230 through Puma 800 with M/MS/LM/LY/Y/SY variants, the heavier 4100/5100/700/800 builds, the GT compact lineup, and the TT twin-turret builds. Cover dimensions scale with bed size. The MS/SY twin-spindle variants add sub-spindle ways requiring matching cover sets.

Common failure patterns
- Telescoping steel covers — standard across the Puma lineup.
- MS and SY twin-spindle variants add sub-spindle cover sets.
- Y-axis variants (LY, Y, SY) add a Y-axis cover.
- Long-bed Puma 4100 and 5100 have substantially longer covers than smaller Puma builds.
- TT twin-turret has additional turret-side covers.
Controls used on this series
Most Puma way covers are OEM-available through DN Solutions (Doosan); older Puma builds split between OEM and custom-fab. Lead time is 2 to 4 weeks.
Lead time
Lead time depends on the model, the failure mode, and parts availability. Diagnostic is fast; full rebuilds run 3 to 5 weeks on most jobs. We scope each job individually rather than quoting a generic window.
