DMG Mori Series Repair
DMG Mori DMU / DMC 5-Axis Repair
DMU and DMC are DMG Mori's 5-axis workhorses — DMU 50 through DMU 340, plus monoBLOCK and duoBLOCK builds, the DMU eVo, and DMC variants from 1035V through 160 U. The DMU Portal and DMU Gantry handle very large parts. Most failure work centers on the trunnion (DMU) or the swivel head (monoBLOCK).

Common failure patterns
- Trunnion calibration drift after a crash — A and C axis zero-point recovery.
- Swivel head bearing wear on monoBLOCK builds.
- RTCP and kinematic drift after any 5-axis component work.
- Swarf intrusion at trunnion bearings on heavy-coolant production.
Controls used on this series
DMU machines mostly ship on Heidenhain TNC (iTNC 530 on legacy builds, TNC 640 on current). DMC builds typically ship on Siemens 840D. All run under CELOS.
Lead time
Lead time depends on the model, the failure mode, and parts availability. Diagnostic is fast; full rebuilds run 3 to 5 weeks on most jobs. We scope each job individually rather than quoting a generic window.
