Mazak HCN Horizontal Machining Center Repair
HCN horizontals — HCN-4000 through HCN-10800, plus the legacy PFH and H-series — are production horizontals built around pallet changers and B-axis indexing. The pallet changer and B-axis are where most service calls originate; the rest is conventional horizontal machine work.

Common failure patterns

- Hydraulic clamp pressure loss on the workpiece clamping system.

Mid-2000s HCN runs Matrix; current HCN-8800 and HCN-10800 ship on SmoothX. Legacy PFH and H-series typically run Mazatrol Legacy controls and the parts situation is increasingly aftermarket.
