Mazatrol Smooth Control Repair (SmoothX / SmoothG / SmoothAi)
Smooth is Mazatrol's current generation — SmoothX on high-end multitasking and 5-axis platforms, SmoothG on production lathes and VMCs, SmoothAi on the latest Ultra and current-flagship machines. The Smooth generation is recent enough that hardware failure is uncommon; most service work is integration, networking, MTConnect setup, parameter backup, and USB media handling rather than reactive repair.

Battery, memory, and parameter recovery
Smooth controls support a clean parameter backup workflow over network or USB. The discipline is doing the backup before any service work, not after. We document the parameter set at the start of every service visit and verify the restore at sign-off.
