NHX and the legacy NH horizontal spindles sit oriented for chip drainage to work in the spindle's favor — NHX 4000 through 10000 plus the older NH 4000/5000/6300. The platform's pallet-changer cycle creates thermal patterns at the spindle that drive specific wear. The larger NHX-8000 and 10000 see heavy axial cuts and bigger spindle bearings to match.
