DMG Mori NTX Way Covers
NTX integrated mill-turn covers handle the most complex configuration in the DMG Mori turning lineup. Each machine has turning-side covers plus a B-axis milling-spindle traverse cover plus sub-spindle ways on twin-spindle configurations. NTX 1000 through NTX 4000 cover sets differ substantially in dimension — we coordinate the full set as a package rather than as individual covers.

Common failure patterns
- Turning ways use telescoping steel — standard across NTX configurations.
- B-axis milling-spindle traverse cover — telescoping or fabric depending on travel and clearance.
- Sub-spindle ways on twin-spindle NTX variants.
- Tool changer interface clearances are tighter on NTX than on straight turning.
- NTX 3000 and NTX 4000 have substantially larger cover sets than NTX 1000/2000.
Controls used on this series
Current NTX covers are OEM-available through DMG Mori. We can coordinate the full cover set as a package or build individual covers as needed. Lead time is 2 to 4 weeks; full-machine cover sets can run slightly longer.
Lead time
Lead time depends on the model, the failure mode, and parts availability. Diagnostic is fast; full rebuilds run 3 to 5 weeks on most jobs. We scope each job individually rather than quoting a generic window.
