Mazak Series Repair
Mazak Integrex Way Covers
Integrex multitasking machines have more way coverage requirements than straight lathes or vertical mills — turning ways, B-axis mill-spindle traverse, sub-spindle ways on twin-spindle variants. Cover configurations are more complex on Integrex platforms and the clearance constraints around the B-axis and tool magazine are tighter. We fabricate the full set or individual covers as needed.

Common failure patterns
- B-axis milling spindle traverse covers — telescoping or bellows depending on travel and clearance.
- Turning spindle ways — telescoping steel is standard on most Integrex configurations.
- Sub-spindle ways on i-200ST, i-300ST, i-400ST, and e-series with sub-spindle.
- Tool magazine interface clearances — confirm during quoting because OEM dimensions can drift after a crash.
- Y-axis cover on Integrex variants with Y-axis (i-200SY, i-300SY, etc.).
Controls used on this series
Integrex i-series originals are increasingly OEM-discontinued; current i-H, i-V, and e-V/10 builds still have OEM-spec available. Custom fabrication to your exact spec covers either case. Lead time is 2 to 4 weeks; complex multi-cover sets for full machine coverage can run slightly longer.
Lead time
Lead time depends on the model, the failure mode, and parts availability. Diagnostic is fast; full rebuilds run 3 to 5 weeks on most jobs. We scope each job individually rather than quoting a generic window.
