DMG Mori Series Repair
DMG Mori CTX / CLX Turning + TC Spindle Repair & Grinding
CTX and CLX turning spindles cover entry CLX 350/450/550 through CTX 850 universal turning, plus the TC turn-mill builds (CTX Beta 800 TC, Beta 1250 TC, Gamma 2000/3000 TC). The TC variants add a B-axis milling spindle alongside the turning spindle — the B-axis becomes the high-stress component on multitasking work. Mill-turn alignment matters more here than on straight CTX turning.

Common failure patterns
- B-axis milling spindle bearing wear on TC variants — primary failure mode on multitasking CTX configurations.
- Turning spindle wear under heavy axial cuts on long-bed CTX 650 and CTX 850.
- Lower turret wear on twin-turret configurations affecting spindle-side alignment.
- Tailstock alignment drift impacting spindle-side cuts on long-bed builds.
- Hydraulic chuck preload issues affecting spindle bearing life.
Controls used on this series
CTX and CLX ship on Siemens 840D under CELOS. TC variants with the added B-axis put more spindle parameter configuration on the Siemens 840D layer.
Lead time
Lead time depends on the model, the failure mode, and parts availability. Diagnostic is fast; full rebuilds run 3 to 5 weeks on most jobs. We scope each job individually rather than quoting a generic window.
